Ponder Pocket Logo Featured

Design of the week (October 12 – October 18, 2014)Ponder Pocket logo

The Ponder Pocket logo was designed to accompany the previously mentioned Ponder Pocket social website that allows users to express their thoughts online. The design concept was largely the idea of the client and the execution was a result of stepwise refinement through communication. The warm orange and yellow logos invite participation while the pocket with a flap open is symbolic of the company name and purpose. A grayscale version of the logo allows it to be used in low color situation without tarnishing the brand identity.

Mad A Way, Sick A Way mixtape cover art

By Nathan Vidal,

Mad A Way, Sick A Way

Design of the week (October 5 – October 11, 2014)

Mad A Way, Sick A Way Mixtape

Music is a powerful force and more and more artists are producing music independently and marketing it online. SeizerStyle Designs recognizes the need for strong brand recognition and consistently creative designs to promote singles, mixtapes and albums. The “Mad A Way, Sick A Way Mixtape” cover art featured here is the ideal example of conceptual design merging seamlessly with sponsorship requirements.

The piercing eyes included in this predominantly red design immediately indicates that the content of this mixtape is no laughing matter. Traditional fonts are bypassed for the edgier and more expressive fonts that bring the title to life. Logos of the brands associated with the mixtape are predominantly displayed at the bottom of the design.

This concept art was designed to demonstrate how SeizerStyle Designs can help artists and musicians promote their music with professional looking graphics. Wherever you distribute your music the visual aspect of it must not be ignored. Interesting cover art can captivate an audience and encourage them to spend a little more time listening to your music. Tech Tip: Hide paragraph marks and formatting symbols in Word

By Nathan Vidal,

Hide Paragraph Marks

Have you ever seen a Word document containing strange distracting symbols that do not disappear no matter what you try? If you have experienced this then Word is probably showing paragraph marks and other normally hidden formatting symbols. Don’t worry though, these marks can be hidden so that your document displays normally.

Paragraph Marks Screenshot 1

You can toggle whether paragraph marks are shown by pressing Ctrl + Shift + 8 or clicking on the Show/Hide button in the Paragraph group of the Home tab in the ribbon. If you do any of these unintentionally the paragraph marks and hidden symbols may become visible when you don’t want them to be shown. Simply repeat the step to hide them again.

Through this update the receipt book is now similar to the company letterhead and other stationery. A watermark with the iconic SeizerStyle Designs “double S” is a central yet subtle feature on both the cover and leaf of the receipt book. Two circular characters are on opposite edges of the receipt book cover adding balance and personality to the design.

41st Anniversary Gold

This design was made for a very special couple celebrating 41 years of marriage. A digital greeting card is a convenient way of getting a special message across to someone regardless of how far away you are. Sometimes the internet can seem very impersonal but it can also be used to deliver very personalized messages which can make a big impact. SeizerStyle Designs also designs greeting cards that can be printed for a more traditional way of conveying a message.

Evolution of a Perfume Bottle

By Nathan Vidal,

Evolution of a Perfume Bottle

Design of the week (July 27 – August 2, 2014)

evolution of Perfume Bottle

Most designs begin with a concept and this client’s concept was a perfume bottle that was elegant as well as eye-catching. A bottle shaped as a curvaceous body in a flowing night gown was the client’s vision to bring out the character of the perfume. The design began with a simple outline of the shape of the bottle. This outline was then converted into 3D and colours were added. Through constant input from the client and refinement the final product is pictured on the top left. The top of the perfume bottle is shaped as a pair of lips and the colour fuchsia  at the bottom contrasts sharply with the mysterious black body of the bottle. The client had an influence on the design of this bottle every step of the way and this design is an example of a design done specifically to client specifications.
