Anatomy of A Business Card

A business card is a common form of summarizing contact information that you would like potential customers to have. These pocket sized bits of information serve the dual purpose of providing information and advertising your company. While there may be many variations in business card designs there are some components that are usually present and expected:

  • Brand or company logo
  • Brand or Ccompany name
  • Name of a contact person and that person’s position in the organization
  • A physical address
  • A telephone number
  • Website address
  • Email address

There are more items that can be added to a business card such as a company’s social networking website addresses  or multiple email addresses. Organizations must be careful, however, not to overload the business card with too much information that makes it to cumbersome to read. It is easier to read and gain information from a concise, cleanly designed business card.
